About GCUP
GCUB (Group of Brazilian Universities for International Cooperation) is a non-profit civil association founded on October 29, 2008. It consists of a network of 104 Brazilian HEIs and 10 foreign institutions. Its mission is to develop academic, scientific, and cultural relations among its members and to promote university internationalization through international cooperation programs and projects. DAAD Scholarships always helped and support particularly gifted and needy students. Many organizations in Germany accept applications for scholarships. Benefit of the DAAD Scholarship
- The amount of the scholarship depends on the scholarship recipient’s educational background and scholarship scheme. As a rule, €934 is awarded to master’s scholarship holders and €1,200 to doctoral students and postdocs. The fee for a university teacher is usually €2,000 for him as an assistant professor, assistant professor and lecturer, and €2,150 for him as a professor.

How can I apply?

- You must apply online. This requires registration on the DAAD portal.
- After you submit your application online, you will automatically receive an email confirmation that your application has been successfully submitted and that your message has been sent via the portal’s messaging system. A message will appear confirming that your application has been received.
Selection procedures
Grant applications are reviewed by an independent and prestigious selection committee. It consists of teachers, researchers and DAAD lecturers from local and/or German universities. Depending on the scholarship program and local conditions, it may be necessary to conduct an in-person interview with the best applicants. This can be done on site, in person, or virtually.
Depending on the course, the selection decision is made directly by the local selection committee or, in the case of a two-stage selection process, by another independent academic committee in Germany. DAAD officials do not have the right to vote in the scholarship selection process. -
