DAAD Scholarship Benefits

DAAD provides the following benefits:

  • €992 for graduates
  • €1,300 for a Master’s degree and  €1,400 from February 2026 for doctoral candidates

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following admission requirements:

• Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in one of the fields below:
  • Geography
  • Architecture
  • Landscape Architecture
  • Urban Planning
  • Civil Engineering
  • Law
  • Political and Social  Science
  • Business and Administration
  • Economics
  • International Development
• Have two years of work experience
• Language proficiency: TOEFL (IBT 79, PBT 550, CBT 213) or IELTS 6

Applicants must prepare and submit the following documents:

• Urban Management Application Form (hand-signed)
• Curriculum Vitae (CV) (hand-signed)
• Motivation Letter (hand-signed)
• Degree Certificate and Academic Records with grading system explanation (translated if not in English or German)
• TOEFL or IELTS test result (TOEFL code: 8804)
• Two Letters of Reference (hand-signed, on official letterhead or with stamp)
• Proof of at least two years of work experience (on employer’s letterhead and certified)
• Copy of Passport
• APS Certificate (for applicants from India, Vietnam, China (P.R.), or Azad University in Iran)
