About
The Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme Scholarship 2026 is one of the excellent study opportunities offered by the government of Malaysia for international students. This scholarship is mainly for Master’s degree programs and aims to strengthen academic skills and international cooperation. The scholarship usually covers full tuition fees, a monthly allowance, health insurance, and other benefits. Students from Afghanistan are also eligible to apply and continue their studies at reputable Malaysian universities.

Required Documents
The Candidate are required to submit the following documents in the online Application system.
- A copy of passport (at least have 12 months validity)
- A copy academic transcript
- Proof English language proficiency test (TOEFL/IELTS/TOEFL iBT/PTE Academic/PTE Academic Online/CEQ/CIEP – ELS) or a letter from previous university that show English as the medium of instruction.
- Curriculum Vitae/CV
- Medical check-up form
- Tow letter of recommendation
- Offer letter from Malaysian universities for the academic intake September/October 2026.
Selection Criteria
- The applicant must have high level academic or extra curriculum achievement
- The applicant must proof the English language proficiency test
- Demonstrated preparation for the chosen programme of study
MTCP Scholarship Benefit
- Full tuition fee, for the whole program duration program
- Monthly stipend
- The scholarship also provides round-trip airfare support, helping students cover travel expenses from their home country to Malaysia and back after completing their studies.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must comply the following rule.
- The candidate nor more than 45 years old
- The candidate must obtain at least CGPA of 3.0 or equivalent at the bachelor degree
- Provide English Language Proficiency; TOEFL at least 60, ILETS at least 6 or obtained a previous degree(s) with English used as the medium of instruction.
- Excellent level of health certified by a doctor/ physician.
Term and Condition
- Students must study full-time in a Master’s degree program in Malaysia, preferably at public universities.
- Students are not allowed to change their study program without official approval from the university and the MTCP Secretariat.
- Recipients must follow Malaysian laws and university rules and regulations.
- If a student is suspended from the university, the scholarship and monthly allowance will be suspended immediately.
- Students are responsible for applying for their visa, medical examination, and all related costs.
- Recipients must maintain good academic performance throughout their studies; otherwise, the scholarship may be withdrawn.
- Studies must be conducted in person at Malaysian universities.
- Students are not allowed to take paid jobs without written permission from both the university and the MTCP Secretariat.
How to Apply
Applicants must register and submit their applications through the online system at MTCP Scholarship Portal. The entire application and selection process will be conducted through this system, and applicants may need to log in at different stages to check updates or upload additional documents. Only applications officially submitted through the system will be considered. Any application containing false or inaccurate information may lead to disqualification.
