Opportunity Description

Overview
The AKF ISP offers a limited number of new Scholarship in each cycle year. Is an opportunity for outstanding Students from selected countries to receive postgraduate training who have no other means of research funding. AKF ISP was founded by His Highness the Aga Khan in 1969 and to date he has supported over 1,000 students. Winners are selected through an annual, global, competitive application process.

Financial Assistance
The Aga khan Foundation international scholarship programme supporting the following cost
1.      Cover the tuition fee of the university
2.      Living expenses  
The Aga khan Foundation international scholarship programme does not cover the below expense
1.      International travel
2.      Furniture
3.      Clothing
4.      Living expense
5.      Family member expense
 
 
 
Award condition
The AKF ISP Scholarship is structured as half scholarship and half loan, with 50 percent of the scholarship amount required to be repaid. Master's degree scholarships are awarded for the entire duration of the course. PhD students will have access to the scholarship for the first two years and are expected to receive funding from other sources thereafter.

1.      Has achieved excellent academic results.
2.      Students must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent education
3.      Good work experience.
4.      Demonstrated actual financial need
5.      Develop a thoughtful and reliable multi-source funding plan
6.      Admission to a reputable graduate school
7.      Have strong leadership potential
8.      Have professional experience, extracurricular
9.      Have entrepreneurial accomplishments
10.  Have volunteer contributions.
 
Application process
Applications are processed by the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), the Aga Khan Education Service (AKES), or the local division of the Aga Khan Education Board (AKEB). To request an application form, please contact the relevant national unit (contact details below). For example, if you reside in India, you must apply through our local office in India, and if you reside in Kenya, you must apply through our local office in Kenya. Submit your complete application to the agency that received your ISP application.
