Information
Japan embassy in Afghanistan announce 10 set scholarship opportunities for Afghanistan student in master course and PH.D courses. these scholarship is for those afghan students who want continue their study in japan under the MEXT Scholarship program.
this scholarship is FULLY funded  the afghan student did not pay any fee for japan university. this scholarship is provided by MEXT Japan.


Field of study
the candidate must apply for the field of study they are major in at university and it is related field 
the major field is listed below
1. department of architecture and building science 
2. Department of Geophysics' 
3. Architecture and Civil Engineering 
4. division of education
5. development and culture and regional studies 
6. Division of forest and Biomaterial science 
7. Major science and technology
8. division of agronomy and horticultural science 
9. division of electrical science and electronic and information engineering 
10. Master program in disability 
11. department of earth resource 
note: those student who studies medicine, dentistry and welfare will not be allowed to apply for this scholarship 

Applicant Qualification
1. must have Afghan Nationality 
2. under 35 years can apply in this scholarship
3. have good achievement in school
4. can contribute the relationship between afghan and japan people 
5. can written and spoken in English or Japanese 
6. those who get this scholarship can travel in Japan April 2024

1. academic transcript
2. academic diploma
6. recommendation letter from university 
8. thesis abstract 
9. English certificate 
10. recommendation letter from the recent employer

benefits of the Scholarship 
1. monthly living expense 1000$ or 140000yen 
2. with out application fee
3. accommodation expense
4. transportation from Afghanistan to Japan one round   

selection procedure 
1. maximum 10 person will be shortlisted and contacted for paper test and interview 
2. MEXT will select the successful candidate 

timeline for result 
1. application deadline: 15th July 2023
2. Paper test: 20 July 2023
3. interview: 30 July 2023
4. final will be announce: December 2024
