The Government of Slovakia has announced a number of scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic years for all levels of higher education Like Bachelor, Master and PhD. These scholarships are available for international students and cover all educational expenses, including tuition fees, accommodation, and other necessary student costs. Fortunately, students from Afghanistan are also eligible to apply for this scholarship program and continue their studies at reputable universities in Slovakia. This is a great opportunity for Afghan youth to study in a standard and international environment while improving their knowledge and skills. Scholarship Benefit

The government of Slovakia will support the following items;

For bachelor and master degree

• Monthly scholarship 700 €
• e stipend upon the commencement of study in the SR 100 €
• One-time stipend upon the completion of study in the SR 200 €
• Monthly stipend for public university 80 €

For PhD Degree

• Monthly scholarship 1100 €
• One-time stipend upon the commencement of study in the SR 100 €
• One-time stipend upon the completion of study in the SR 200 €
• Monthly stipend for public university

For language and preparatory studies

• Monthly scholarship 700 €
• One-time stipend upon the commencement of study in the SR 100 €
• Monthly stipend for public University 80 €

Selection Criteria

• Age Limitation
• For Bachelor and Master degree level applicant must be at least 18 years old and not be more than 26 years old.
• For PhD degree level applicant must be at least 23 years old and not be more than 35 years old.
• Submit all required documents
• Have an excellent academic performance during the secondary or higher education, with a minimum grade of 80%
• Select field of study that will be supported by given country
• Select public university of Slovakia
• Select full time of study

Required Documents

• A record of the highest level of education attained
• A completion certificate
• An acceptance letter from Slovak public university – this is required only from those who speak Slovak language and have applied to university already.
• Birth Certificates
• Photograph: Photo size 3.4cm* 4cm, showing full face, with no glasses and dark lenses, with the face height from the eyes to the chin of at least 13 mm; minimum resolution of 350 x 400 pixels is required for digital images
• Recommendation letter: attach two recommendation letters from secondary school teacher for bachelor degree if would apply for master and PhD tow recommendation letter from university teacher
• Signed Curriculum Vitae/ CV
• Signed Motivation letter (briefly state why you decided to study in Slovakia, why you decided to study the chosen specialization, or how you see your perspective future after graduation).
